Open loop ground source heat pumps meeting both heating and cooling demand, offer scope for carbon savings. Site investigations are underway to confirm feasibility.

By using groundwater for cooling and heating, carbon savings of 20 – 25% can be achieved compared with a traditional system.

The buildings will achieve carbon reductions of up to 40% below those associated with an equivalent building designed to 2006 Part L standards.
