Winnersh Triangle was buzzing with energy as we hosted a free Berkshire Electric Vehicle Awareness Event, drawing in businesses, residents and EV enthusiasts from across the region for a day of expert advice, test drives and a look at the latest EV vehicles from local dealerships.

Organised in conjunction six Berkshire local authorities: Wokingham, Reading, Bracknell Forest, Windsor & Maidenhead, Slough and West Berkshire, the collective came together to raise awareness and encourage more people towards a net zero transport system.

Expert advice was given by specialists from the Energy Saving Trust and University of Reading to help demystify the process of switching to EVs. From explaining grants and tax benefits to exploring charging solutions for businesses and homes, the talks were packed with useful takeaways — and sparked plenty of Q&As from engaged attendees.

Helen Barnett, Senior Placemaking Manager at Frasers Property, said: “It was fantastic to work in partnership with local stakeholders and industry thought leaders on EVs and engage with so many businesses and individuals about making the switch to electric. The level of interest, with over 200 attendees and 100 test drives organised, exceeded our expectations.”

The Berkshire EV Event is part of our ongoing commitment to promoting sustainability and innovation across the park to help shape a greener future at Winnersh Triangle and beyond.
