Our pioneering Winnersh Triangle occupier, Tepeo, has been nominated for a prestigious award that highlights companies who are tackling climate change and driving green jobs.
Tepeo’s groundbreaking Zero Emission Boiler (ZEB) is a replacement for existing fossil fuel boilers, that works with a hot water tank to deliver low carbon and low cost home heating.
The product is one of the finalists in the Energy Innovation category in the awards that are organised by climate charity Ashden. The overall winner of the Ashden Award for Energy Innovation will reward an organisation with the potential to create large-scale impact.
Ashden is a UK-based climate solutions charity which aims to accelerate transformative climate innovations and build a more just world. Ashden helps tell the stories of climate and energy pioneers in the UK, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Latin America.
Tepeo’s nomination follows hot on the heels of the company winning the 2023 Sustainable Innovations Competition, a unique partnership between Lloyds Banking Group and Wates Group to champion and pioneer emerging green tech innovators and low carbon SMEs across the UK.
Their success will see ZEB explored for a potential pilot by Lloyds Banking Group as part of its ambition to reach Net Zero carbon operations by 2030.
