With Dinton Pastures country park on our doorstep, a walking trail through Winnersh Meadows and numerous routes around the business park, there’s so many opportunities for our business community to take a break from their desks and enjoy a walk to boost their mental health and wellbeing.

During National Walking Month here are our top tips for incorporating more walking into your working day.

1. CREATE A FAKE COMMUTE: Go for a walk at the start or end of the working day – or both. A 20-minute walk before work will energise you for the day ahead, while a stroll afterwards can help you relax and switch off.

2. SCHEDULE A WALKING MEETING: According to neuroscientists, walking increases blood flow to the brain, which helps people to express ideas more fluently. And exercise increases overall work performance by 15% So imagine what you could achieve in a walking meeting!

3.GET CONNECTED: Why not set up a walking club and get to know your colleagues better. A 20-minute lunchtime walk could help you get better connected and work more effectively as a team.
