Back in July, our park members were treated to a lunchtime cuddle with Guide Dog puppies to help raise funds for Guide Dogs UK’s Reading Mobility Team.

The team has 34 staff based at Winnersh Triangle who, together with volunteers, work to deliver Guide Dogs’ services in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, West Sussex and Surrey.

The puppies in training clearly left their mark on fellow businesses based at Winnersh Triangle and particularly with pharmaceutical research company, Molecular Devices.

The company holds a regular staff quiz and its latest winner, Sue Burgess, kindly donated her prize, an Amazon Echo Dot, to Guide Dogs UK’s Reading Mobility Team.

It was gratefully received by Jackie Kent at Guide Dogs UK and even more so by Comrie, a trainee Golden Retriever Guide Dog.

The Reading Mobility Team has been based at Winnersh for five years now and, in that time, 228 Guide Dog partnerships have been created.

Katharine Westcar, Head of Marketing at Frasers Property UK said: “Guide Dogs is a brilliant charity and our ‘meet the puppies’ event has become a popular fixture at Winnersh Triangle. We’re delighted that our park members are going above and beyond to continue to support the charity. This kind donation highlights the culture and community we have here that makes us different.”
